M59 Golden Corridor Icon

In 2017, the City of Sterling Heights launched an initiative to distinguish a stretch of M-59 and create a bold community landmark. Partnering with Warren Contractors, Universal Sign Systems fabricated and installed two illuminated gateway signs at each end of the corridor, along with a 35-foot circular icon that serves as the visual centerpiece of what is now known as the Golden Corridor. This highly technical feature required extensive design, engineering, and collaboration, culminating in a successful installation completed in early 2019—showcasing a signature statement for the city and its visitors.
